Principal's Message

Bridges Learning Center 

August 12, 2024 

Dear Parents and Families: 

I am excited to begin the 2024-2025 school year with students and staff as the new principal of Bridges Learning Center. This year is my 15th year with Akron Public Schools and I have worked as an Intervention Specialist, Special Education Coordinator, Dean of Students and 

Interim Principal throughout the district. I feel fortunate to be at Bridges and can honestly say that there is nowhere else that I would rather be than right here with our students and the amazing, dedicated staff. We are going to have a great year together! 

Here are some important August dates to be aware of: 

● Bridges Open House: Friday, August 23, 2024, 1p-4p 

● 1st day of school for students in grades 1-12: Thursday, August 29th ● 1st day of school for students in Kindergarten: Tuesday, September 3, 2024
