Black History Month Series - Kim Klacik Interview

Black History Month Series - Kim Klacik Interview
Posted on 02/03/2022
As Akron Public Schools observes and honors black history month, one of our elementary school deans has been busy mixing learning about black history with teaching good communications skills and interviewing techniques to students. Benjamin Effinger is dean of students at Voris CLC in Firestone Park (in the Kenmore-Garfield cluster of schools). His students have conducted a series of interviews we think you'll enjoy watching.

First is with Kimberly Klacik, an American businesswoman and politician. Klacik was the Republican nominee for Maryland's 7th congressional district in both the April 2020 special election, held following the death of incumbent Elijah Cummings, and the subsequent November 2020 election.

Fourth-grader Andrew Lor conducts the interview.
