Cadets Compete in JROTC Event

Ohio and West Virginia Represented at Ellet
Posted on 04/08/2022
Last Saturday, April 2, 2022, Ellet CLC held its first invitational meet in four years. East Community Learning Center (MCJROTC/Marines), Green High School (AFJROTC/Air Force), Highland High School (NJROTC/Navy), and Lincoln High School (NJROTC) engaged in this spectacular and cohesive event.

The meet included numerous competitive and fun events, such as armed and unarmed platoon, armed and unarmed squad, color guard, and personnel inspection. In addition to the drill events, Ellet hosted two outside competitions: air rifle and physical fitness. These competitions were completed at each school, but the final scores were mailed to Ellet for judging. Perry High School (AJROTC) placed first in the air rifle postal, and Highland High School placed first in the physical fitness postal.

At the end of the meet, the schools competed in armed and unarmed knockout, a push-up contest, and a fierce game of tanks -- a knockout-style game where a platoon must "eliminate" the other platoons. Following the judges' scores, the overall trophy was awarded to East CLC.

We would like to thank each cadet who prepared for and participated in the invitational meet.
